The New Mexico Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy is a non-profit organization that promotes the learning and practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The New Mexico Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy is an ICEEFT affiliate.

To be listed on the NMEFT Therapist Directory, therapists are required to:

Hold an active mental health license in New Mexico OR hold current student status in a mental health field

Have completed at least an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy

Have current membership of ICEEFT
Externship Completed - These therapists have completed an additional 4 day long course of training in EFT
Additional Training - Externship + Core Skills Completed + 8 hours of individual EFT Supervision
ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist - In addition to completing all of the above training, Certification indicates that these therapists have had their clinical work reviewed and approved by ICEEFT
ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist + Supervisor in Training - In addition to completing all of the above training, these therapists are in the process of becoming EFT Supervisors
ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist + Supervisor - Certified Supervisors have completed additional training and clinical review by ICEEFT and are authorized to supervise other therapists learning the EFT model
